A seminar was organized on 21st January 2019 in Bhubaneswar by Public Health Resource Network (PHRN) on “Current Advances in Malaria Management and Implications for Malnutrition”. Around 60 participants comprising eminent public health practitioners, researchers, doctors and civil society representatives, public health students participated in this day-long seminar to cross learn and brainstorm on the future course of action to address both malaria and malnutrition in more systematic and scientific way. Resource persons involved with health policy and programmes in the states of Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand participated. The seminar ended with plans to extend this dialogue to the states of Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh, as well as support the community and government of Odisha to keep the momentum going through various strategies including community mobilisation and further research on the relationship between malaria and malnutrition.
